Brandy Chase

Brandy has been a BNI member since 2000; she joined a BNI chapter shortly after starting her first job out of college. Brandy will tell you her first thought was, “They won’t teach me anything I don’t already know!” Because she had just graduated from college with two degrees - one in Graphic Design and one in Marketing - she thought she already knew everything she needed to know about business in the real world.

Brandy has the following words to say...

I soon learned that in all of the books and classes something was left out, what I now know as the most important kind of marketing—word of mouth marketing.  I had no idea on how important it was to have OTHER people sell for me.  It was much more convincing this way; I knew I was great, but would anyone else listen if I said it? Not likely!  But if someone else told a potential client why he or she should use me over my competition, the likelihood of him or her using me was much greater. That left me time to focus on product and service and NOT sales.

I love teaching business people now how to use their BNI membership to the fullest, to make sure that word of mouth marketing works for them. The best thing about teaching Member Success Program, for me, is seeing the light bulb go off and knowing the member now knows exactly how to get and give good referrals. After all, it is all in the asking!
